dc.description.abstractAnglikan Kilisesi, Şeyhülislâmlık makamınahitaben İslâm hakkında bilgi isteyen bir mektup göndermiştir. Dört soruluk bumektuba ulema tarafından cevaplar verilmiş ve bu cevaplar kitap olarak daneşredilmiştir. Hoca Râsim Efendi de bu kitaplardan önce Alemdargazetesinde bir cevap tefrika etmiştir. Yarım kalan bu cevapta din-modernleşmeilişkileri, yeni ilm-i kelâm konuları ve oryantalistlerin iddialarına verilencevaplara dair veriler mevcuttur. İngiliz Muhibleri Cemiyeti azası da olanRâsim Efendi’nin işgal altındaki İstanbul’da İngiliz yanlısı Alemdargazetesinde kaleme aldığı yazıların muhtevasına bu ilişkiler zaviyesindenbakmak gerekir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe AnglicanChurch sent a letter to the Office of al-Mashyakha asking for information aboutIslam. The answers to these four questions were given by ulema and theseanswers were also published as books. Hoca Râsim Efendi also published ananswer on the Alemdar newspaper before these books. In this discussion, thereare data on religion-modernization relations, new ilm-i kalâm topics, andanswers given to the claims of orientalists. Rasim Efendi, a member of the EnglishFrendship Association (İngiliz Muhipleri Cemiyeti), should take a close look atthe content of the writings he received in the pro-British Alemdar newspaper inoccupied Istanbul.en_US
