VII ÖZET Farklı Büyütme Koşullarının Türkgeldi Erkek Kuzularında Testis Gelişimi Üzerine Etkileri ve Testis Özellikleri ile Döl Verimi Arasındaki İlişkiler Bu araştırma Türkgeldi erkek kuzularının farklı büyütme koşullan altında testis gelişimlerinin belirlenmesi ve testis özellikleri ile dişi akrabalarının döl verimleri arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma TİGEM'e bağlı Türkgeldi Tarım İşletmesinde yürütülmüş ve hayvan materyali olarak 60 baş Türkgeldi tipi erkek kuzu kullanılmıştır. Türkgeldi erkek kuzularında, 4 grup olarak yürütülen çalışmada I ve III. gruplar erkeklerden oluşturulan sürü içerisinde büyütülürken, II ve IV. gruplar dişi kuzular ile birlikte karışık olarak büyütülmüşlerdir. Çalışmada gruplara göre 12 aylık yaşta ortalama testis uzunluğu sırası ile 10.60, 10.73, 11.09 ve 10.78 cm, testis çapı 4.94, 5.06, 5.35 ve 4.94 cm, sıkrotum uzunluğu 14.64, 13.73, 14.00 ve 13.86 cm, sıkrotum çevresi 27.71, 27.66, 28.33 ve 27.66 cm, sıkrotum hacmi 313.92, 320.00, 358.66 ve 322.33 cm3 ve testis hacmi 266.81, 277.46, 322.15 ve 275.02 cm3 olarak saptanmıştır.VIII Altı aylık yaşa kadar olan dönemde dişi kuzular ile birlikte büyütülen erkek kuzuların sıkrotum uzunlukları arasındaki farklılık (p <0.05) düzeyinde önemli olarak tespit edilirken, diğer testis özellikleri (testis uzunluğu, testis çapı, sıkrotum çevresi, sıkrotum hacmi ve testis hacmi) bakımından yine dişi kuzular ile birlikte büyütülen erkek kuzuların, yalnızca erkeklerden oluşan grup içerisinde büyütülen kuzulardan (p <0.01) düzeyinde önemli farklılıklar gösterdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Deneme sonunda elde edilen sonuçlar incelendiğinde altı aylık yaş dönemine kadar erkek kuzuların dişi kuzular ile birlikte büyütülmesinin testis gelişimlerini olumlu yönde etkilediği gözlenmiştir. Yapılan hesaplamalar sonucunda elde edilen verilere göre testis özellikleri ile dişi akrabalarının döl verimleri arasında pozitif yönde korelasyonların olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. IX SUMMARY The Effects of Different Rearing Condition on Testicular Development of Türkgeldi Male Lambs and the Relationships Between the Testis Characteristics and Reproductive Performance. The aim of this research was to determine the effects of different rearing condition on the testicular development of Türkgeldi male lambs and the relationship between their testis characteristics and reproductive performance. This research was carried out in Türkgeldi State Farm. 60 Türkgeldi type, male lambs were used. Türkgeldi lambs were divided into four groups. I and III group contain only males, II and IV group contain a mixture rearing of males and females. According to the results obtain average testis lenght in a year old lambs were 10.60, 10.73, 1 1.09 ve 10.78 cm, testis diameter 4.94, 5.06, 5.35 and 4.94 cm, scrotum lenght 14.64, 13.73, 14.00 and 13.86 cm, scrotum circumference 27.71, 27.66, 28.33 and 27.66 cm, scrotum volume 313.92, 320.00, 358.66 and 322.33 cm3 and testis volume 266.81, 277.46, 322.15 and 275.02 cm3 respectively.Differences between scrotum lenghts of male lambs that reared together with female lambs was found significantly (p<0.05) during the first six months of trial, while, the other testis traits (testis lenght, testis diameter, scrotum lenght, scrotum circumference, scrotum volume and testis volume) of this groups have shown better performance than the other (II and III) groups (p<0.01). As a result of this research, it is concluded that male lambs with rearing females up to six months age had a possitive effect on their testis development moreover, there was a possitive correlation between their testis characteristics and reproductive performance.
