dc.description.abstractAli Tevfik Çelepöven was born in 1874 in Hacıoğlu Pazarcığı/Bulgaria. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown. Çelepöven arrived in Istanbul in the year 1888 and obtained his letter of approbation from Hagia Sophia Madrasa in 1897. He served as the Dersiâm of the Hagia Sophia between 1908 and 1914. Also in this year, after receiving his letter of approbiation from Medresetü'l-Kudât (School of Judges), he was sent to Yenbuulbahr/Hijaz as a judge. He remained in this position until he was captured by the British army in 1916. He was kept in different prison camps in Egypt between 1916 and 1919. When Çelepöven returned to his country, he was appointed to some positions as a judge. In addition, he held the following positions: The Dersiâm of Hagia Sophia, Istifta Writer, preacher in Sultanahmet and Hagia Sophia Mosques. Ali Tevfik Çelepöven, who wrote poems about the love of the Prophet, also wrote works in the field of religious education. He passed away on August 30, 1938.en_US
dc.description.abstractAli Tevfik Çelepöven 1874’de Hacıoğlu Pazarcığı’nda (Bulgaristan) doğmuştur. İlk tahsilini memleketinde tamamlayan Çelepöven 1888 senesinde eğitim için İstanbul’a gelmiş ve 1897 senesinde Ayasofya Medresesi’nden icazetini almıştır. 1908’de Ayasofya Dersiâmlığına tayin edilen Ali Tevfik Çelepöven dersiâmlığı sırasında Medresetü’l-Kudât’a devam etmiş ve 1914 senesinde de buradan icazet almıştır. 1914 senesinde kadılık vazifesiyle Yenbuulbahr’e (Hicaz) gönderilmiş, 1916’da İngilizler’e esir oluncaya kadar bu görevde kalmıştır. 1916-1919 seneleri arasında Mısır’daki farklı esir kamplarında tutulmuştur. Memlekete döndüğünde tekrar bazı kadılık görevlerine tayin edilen Çelepöven, buna ilaveten Ayasofya Dersiâmlığı, İstiftâ Muharrirliği ve Sultanahmet ile Ayasofya Camilerinde vaizlik yapmıştır. Peygamber sevgisiyle şiirler yazmış olan Ali Tevfik Çelepöven dinî eğitim alanında da eserler vermiş ve 30 Ağustos 1938’de vefat etmiştir.en_US
