Abstract
In this study, larval and adult material collected from July 2012 to July 2013 and previously collected larval material were evaluated taxonomically to determine Chironomidae (Diptera) Fauna of Kırklareli province. Ablabesmyia (Ablabesmyia) phatta (Eggert, 1863), Chironomus semireductus (Lenz, 1924), Einfeldia carbonaria (Meigen, 1804), Metriocnemus (Metriocnemus) fuscipes (Meigen, 1818), Rheocricotopus (Rheocricotopus) fuscipes (Kieffer, 1909) and Stictochironomus sp. identified from larval specimens and Camptocladius stercorarius (De Geer, 1776), Corynoneura sp. and Paratanytarsus sp. identified from adult specimens are first records for Kırklareli province. In addition, Acricotopus lucens (Zetterstedt, 1850), Brillia flavifrons (Johannsen, 1905), Cladopelma virescens (Meigen, 1818), Demicryptochironomus sp. and Harnischia curtilamellata (Malloch, 1915) identified from adult specimens are first records for Trakya Region. Furthermore, Paratanytarsus laetipes (Zetterstedt, 1850) is the first record for Turkey. Keywords : Chironomidae, Fauna, Kırklareli, Trakya
