Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırma; bazı Codiaeum variegation L. (Kroton) bitkisinin çeşitlerinin üretiminde kullanılan çelik tiplerinin köklenme ve sürgün oluşumuna etkilerini bulmaya yönelik bir çalışmadır. Araştırmada Codiaeum variegatum cv. Petra, Codiaeum variegatum cv. Phillip Geduldig ve Codiaeum variegatum ev. Goldsun çeşitlerinden alınan tepe, tek gözlü, iki gözlü ye üç gözlü çelikler kullanılmıştır. Denemeler mart-haziran 1997 tarihleri arasında Tekirdağ ili Muratlı ilçesindeki aile tipi bir serada; tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre üç tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Toplam blok sayısı 3, parsel sayısı ise 36'dır. Her bir çeşit tipinden 27'şer adet alınmış bunlar 4 farklı çelik tipiyle denenmiş, dolayısıyla toplam 108 adet çelik kullanlmıştır. Bu çelikler buharla fümige edilmiş ve eşit hacimde (1:1) karıştırılmış perlit-torf ortamına dikilmişlerdir. - Denemede; köklenmeye gün sayısı, ilk sürgün oluşumuna gün sayısı, sürgün gövde çapı, sürgün uzunluğu; köklenme yüzdesi ve sürgün verme yüzdesi kriterleri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre tüm çeşitlerden alınan tepe çelikleri köklenme ve sürgün verme gün sayısı bakımından diğer çelik tiplerine göre bir erkenciliğe sahiptir. Goldsun ve Petra çeşitlerine ait tek, iki ve üç gözlü çeliklerden üretilen ' fidelerin köklenme ve sürgün verme süresi daha uzun bir zaman almıştır. Krotonun üretimine yönelik sınırlı sayıda çalışma olması nedeniyle günümüzde sıkça kullanılan bu bitkinin üretimine yönelik bu araştırma, bir fikir vermesi bakımından önemlidir.
SUMMARY This research was undertaken in pertinent with some varieties of Codiaeum variegatum L. (Kroton) being produced by using different tip cuttings for rapid and resistant characteristics. In the research the used cuttings were; tip, having single bud, duble bud and triple bud of cv. Petra, cv. Philip Geduldig and cv. Goldsun respectively. The research was carried out in one of the domestic greenhouses situated in Muratlı district of Tekirdağ provine during march-june 1997. The four different cuttings of three different varieties as mentioned about, were used for, three replications in accordance with the randiomized block experimental design. Total number of blocks were three whereas the subplots were 36. Each tip cuttings carriying 36 numbers were taken. Total 108 cuttings were used. These cuttings were planted in the growing media, peat perlitte with 1: 1 by volume, treated with evaporated fumigates. The parameters studied in the experiment were, number of days to rooting, number of days to shootings, stem diameter, lenght of shoots, the percentage of produced shoots and roots. According to the results; revealed in this experiment, percentage of procurement of quality plants in the advenced days were lower despite the rooted tip cuttings and the number of days to produced shoots in the entire varieties were signfficantThe percentage of quality plants to be achieved was more, despite the fact single buded, duble buded and triple buded cuttings having produced seedlings had roots and shoots in good proportion for a longer period in Goldsun and Petra varieties of Codiaeum variegatum L. Despite the fact that the research releating to Croton production before this experiment was quite in sufficient thus, this research is important that gives an idea of production commercially to get good quality plants with reference to its significant.
