dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada, Edirne tarihi kent merkezinde, sit alanı içerisinde ve UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi'ne girmiş Selimiye Camii Külliyesi'nin geçiş ve etkileşim bölgesinde konumlanan Baba Timurtaş Mahallesi'nin bir bölümü incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın gerek Edirne kent merkezinde kale dışında gelişen yerleşimlerde gerekse Türkiye'de UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi'ne girmiş ya da girecek yapıların etkileşim bölgesinde konumlanan alanlarında yapılacak yeni çalışmalara kaynak teşkil etmesi hedeflenmiştir. Buradan hareketle çalışma alanı çevresel ve yapısal ölçekte detaylı olarak incelenmiş, alana özgü öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Çalışma yedi bölümden oluşmaktadır: Birinci bölümde; çalışmanın amacı, önemi, kapsamı ve yöntemi açıklanmış; ayrıca literatür araştırmalarına değinilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Edirne'nin ve Baba Timurtaş Mahallesi'nin tarihsel gelişimi ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde, tarihi çevre korumanın yasal boyutlarına değinilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde, çalışma alanının kent içi konumu belirtilmiş; mimari ve sosyo-kültürel analizleri yapılmıştır. Beşinci bölümde, alanın sorunları ve potansiyelleri tespit edilmiştir. Altıncı bölümde, çalışma alanının özellikleri değerlendirilmiş; bu doğrultuda alana özel çevresel ve yapısal ölçekte öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Yedinci ve sonuç bölümünde, alanın değerlerinin yok olmaması ve devamlılığının sağlanması için gerekli koşullar tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractIn this study, a part of Baba Timurtaş District where is located in a site, buffer zone of World Heritage Selimiye Mosque Complex and in the historic center of Edirne, were examined. It is aimed that provide references for the new studies where located either the settlements that emerging outside of the fortress in city center of Edirne or buffer zone of buildings which are taken or will be taken into World Heritage List. Thus, study area was examined on environmental and structural scale in detail, specific proposals were developed. The study consists of seven chapters: In the first chapter, the aim, importance, scope and method of the study are described. In addition literature research has been mentioned. In the second chapter, historical development of Edirne and Baba Timurtaş District are discussed. In the third chapter, the legal aspects of historical environmental protection are mentioned. In the fourth chapter, the location of the study area within the city was specified, architectural and socio-cultural analyses of the study area have been prepared. In the fifth chapter problems and potentials of the area have been identified. In the sixth chapter, properties of the study area were reviewed; accordingly, site-specific environmental and structural proposals have been developed. In the seventh and concluding chapter, the necessary conditions were determined not to lose the values and to provide maintaining the area.en_US
