| dc.description.abstract | ÖZET Edirne'de Onbeşinci yüzyılda, çok sayıda tek kubbeli cami ve mescit yapılmıştır. Bunlardan pekçoğu doğal ve insan eliyle yapılan tahribatlar sonucu yıkılmıştır. Günümüze kadar ulaşan az sayıdaki cami ve mescitler ise bugüne kadar geçirdikleri onarımlar, değişiklikler ve tahribatlar nedeniyle özgün biçimlerinden uzaklaşarak çeşitli sorunlarla karşı karşıya kalmışlardır. Mimari ve tarihi değere sahip bu yapılardaki mevcut sorunların çözümü için, sadece ayakta tutma anlamında yapılan onarım çalışmaları yeterli olmamaktadır. Tarihi kimlikleri ile geleceğe ulaştırılması gereken bu yapıların, yapıldıkları dönemden bu yana değişen ve eksik olan kısımlarının özgün biçimlerinin saptanabilmesi için bilimsel araştırmalar önem kazanmaktadır. Bilimsel restorasyon, tarihi korumak için bir araçtır. Bu anlayış ile yapılacak uygulamalar da yapının tarihi, estetik ve teknik açıdan araştırılması ile başlamaktadır. "Edirne'nin Onbeşinci Yüzyıl Tek Kubbeli Camilerinde Onaran Sorunları" başlığı taşıyan bu çalışma yedi ana bölümden meydana gelmektedir: Birinci bölümde; yapılan araştırmanın amacı ve kapsamı belirtilmektedir, ikinci bölümde; kentin tarihsel gelişiminde etkili olan faktörler incelenmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde; cami ile ilgili terimler açıklanarak, tek kubbeli camilerin tarihi süreç içinde mimari gelişimi açıklanmaktadır. Dördüncü bölümde; Edirne Onbeşinci yüzyıl tek kubbeli camilerinde bugüne ulaşıncaya kadar meydana gelen değişiklikler ile mevcut durumları tespit edilmektedir. Beşinci bölümde; camilerin tahribat ve onaranlardan en fazla etkilenen öğelerinin kronolojik gelişimi incelenmektedir. Altıncı bölümde, camilerin aynı ve yakın yüzyıla ait benzeri örnekleri ile karşılaştırılarak ve yapılardaki izler doğrultusunda değerlendirmeye gidilmiştir. Yedinci bölüm sonuç bölümüdür. Bu bölümde, yapıların tüm belgeleri ile korunarak daha fazla harap olmaması için göz önünde bulundurulması gereken hususlardan söz edilmektedir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | II ABSTRACT In the 15th century, a great deal of single-domed mosques and masjids were built in Edirne. Many of these mosques and masjids have been destroyed by the nature or people. Few of them have managed to survive up to today but they had to face many problems, having lost their original shapes due to restorations, changes and destruction. Restorations made just to make these mosques and masjids survive are insufficient to solve the problems concerning these constructions which are of great architectural and historical value. Historical identities of these constructions should be kept for future generations and scientific research should be given importance in describing the original forms of the parts that have been destroyed or changed. History can be protected through scientific restorations. To be based on science, a restoration should start from a wide research concerning the date, the aesthetic and technical properties of the construction. This study, which bears the title 'The Restoration Problems of the 15th Century Single- domed Mosques in Edirne", consists mainly of seven parts: In the first part, the purpose and content of the research are described. In the second part, the factors that have influenced the historical development of the city are determined. In third part, the terms concerning mosques are described and a diachronic study is made on the architectural development of the single-domed mosques in the city. In the fourth part, the changes made on the single-domed mosques of Edirne belonging to the 15th century and the present state of these mosques are described. In the fifth part, the chronological development of the parts that have been affected most by destruction and restorations is explained. In the sixth part, a comparison is made between the single-domed mosques and similar examples belonging to the same century or close periods and an evaluation is made considering the marks in the constructions. The seventh part is the conclusion. In this part the points that should be taken into consideration to protect these constructions with all their documents and to prevent them from further destruction are stated. | en_US |
