Özet
Bu çalışmada, hafif düzeyde zihinsel engelliliği olan bireylerde bilgisayar destekli öğretim ile sosyal beceri öğretiminin başarısı araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, Edirne il merkezinde bulunan Faika Raika Şaika Erkurt Kardeşler İlköğretim Okulu ve İş Okulunda eğitim gören öğrencilere, bilgisayarlı destekli öğretim gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tez içinde, öğretim teknolojilerinin kullanımı hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Uzaktan eğitimin tanımı, Türkiye'de gelişimi bahsedilmiştir. Zihinsel engelli bireylerin özellikleri anlatılmıştır. Bilişsel yaklaşımla sosyal beceri öğretimi ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. Sosyal beceri öğretimi için 3 ayrı güncel konu belirlenmiş, bu konuların bilgisayar destekli öğretimle nasıl gerçekleştirileceği hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Toplam 20 öğrenci uygulamaya katılmıştır. Bu öğrenciler iki gruba ayrılmış ve 10 öğrenciye geleneksel öğretim, 10 öğrenciye de bilgisayar destekli öğretim uygulanmıştır. Uygulama gerçekleştirildikten sonra ölçme formları sınıf öğretmenleri tarafından doldurularak geleneksel öğretim ve bilgisayar destekli öğretimin öğretimde etkililiği sayısal olarak karşılaştırıldı. Bu araştırmanın amacı; bilişsel yaklaşım kullanılarak sosyal beceri öğretimini bilgisayar destekli öğretimle hafif düzeyde zihinsel engeli olan öğrencilerde etkililiğini göstermek ve öğrenilen davranışları günlük yaşantılarında karşılaşabilecekleri değişik sorunları çözümlemede kullanabilmelerini sağlamaktır.
Abstract
In this study, the success of computer-assisted instruction and social skills training has been studied in the individuals with slightly mental disability. Within this purpose, the students who receive training in the Primary and Job School of Faika, Raika and Şaika Erkurt sisters have been provided with computer-supported instruction. Within the thesis, the definition of training technologies has been made, and some information about the advantages, disadvantages, purposes, the ways of application and technology use for the instruction of the students with mentally handicapped in Turkey has been given. Information about the web accessibility, that is, how to be made the web design in order that the mentally handicapped people use the web more easily has been given. Information about the definition, development in Turkey, the benefits and limitations of distance training has been given. In the following chapter, the definition of mental disability has been made and the classification of mental disability has been mentioned. The characteristics of mentally disabled individuals have been separated into various categories and examined, and also the educational environments establised for the mentally handicapped members in Turkey have been cited. Some information concerning social skills instruction together with cognitive approach, the main purpose of my thesis, has been given. Three different current issues have been determined for social skills instruction and some information has been presented about how these issues would be able to realise through computer-assisted instruction. The totally 20 students have been participated in the study. These students have been divided into two groups and 10 students have been provided with traditional education and the other 10 students have been applied for computer-assisted instruction. After the application has completed, the evaluation forms have been filled by the classroom teachers and the efficiency of traditional education and computer-supported instruction in training have been compared digitally. The main purpose of the study is to reveal and display the efficiency of social skills training through computer-supported instruction in slightly mentally handicapped students by being used cognitive approach and is to enable them to use the behaviours learned to overcome the different kind of problems they might encounter in their daily lives.
