dc.description.abstract | In this study, we aim to determine concentrations of heavy metals such as Fe, Zn, Mn, Cd, Cr, Ni, Cu, and Pb on muscle, gill, kidney, intestine and skin tissues of Leusiscus sp: (Heckel, 1843) which was obtained from the selected points on Tunca and Meriç rivers, Edirne. After the application of micro-wave dissolving method, heavy metal concentrations were determined with AAS. According to the results of this analysis, high level of Fe was determined most commonly on the gills. The maximum levels of Ni were determined on muscle and kidney samples that were taken from Suakacağı village during the summer. Cu was determined the highest on guts. Pb was determined maximum on muscle tissue sample that was taken from Bosnia village during the summer. Mn was determined highest on intestinal tissue samples taken from Bosnia village. The highest level of Cr was determined on the gill of sample near Mezbaa. The highest level Cd was determined on the intestine of the sample taken from Bülbül Adası during the winter. The highest value of Zn was determined on the intestinal tissue of the sample that was taken from the Bosnia village during the winter. Cd, Pb and Zn concentrations, which were measured on fish samples taken from selected points on Tunca and Meriç rivers, were determined to be over the set of values recommended for fish and mollusks on the 5th page in the official newspaper No. 20884, 1991 published by the Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Rural Affairs. Cu concentrations, on the other hand, were below the acceptable values. Heavy metals that determine concentration are listed respectively: Fe> Cr> Mn> Ni | en_US |
| en_US |
