Abstract
In this study which was performed in some inland waters forming as lagoon formation located at Turkish Thrace was aimed to investigate the aquatic gastropod fauna, and thus to contribute to the researches on the subject. For this purpose, the samples belonging Gastropoda (Mollusca) which were obtained from the total of 11 lakes were evaluated in terms of taxonomically and ecologically. Consequently, while it was identified 15 species belonging to 11 families including Theodoxus (Thedoxoxus) fluviatilis (Linneaus, 1758), Viviparus viviparus (Linneaus, 1758), Bithynia tentaculata (Linnaeus, 1758), Ecrobia ventrosa (Montagu, 1803), Borysthenia naticina (Menke, 1845), Lymnaea stagnalis (Linnaeus, 1758), Radix auricularia (Linnaeus, 1758), Radix labiata (Rossmässler, 1835), Haitia acuta, (Draparnaud, 1805), Planorbarius corneus (Linnaeus, 1758) which have been reported from the previous studies performed at inland waters in Turkish Thrace, the species Stagnicola palustris (Müller, 1774) and Planorbis (Planorbis) intermixtus Mousson, 1874, and the species Bittium reticulatum (da Costa, 1778), Rissoa membranacea (Adams J., 1800), Rapana venosa (Valenciennes, 1846) which are known from marine ecosystem of Turkish Thrace were reported as first records at inland waters in Turkish Thrace.
