Özet
ÖZET Bu tezin konusu, geleneksel yapı sanatımızın ürünlerinden, bugüne kadar fazla araştırma konusu olmamış sivil mimari örneği konutlarımızın plan ve cephe karakteristiklerini incelemek, ayrıca getirilecek kullanım önerileri ile değerlendirilmesine yardımcı olmaktır. Tezin birinci bölümünde yukarıdaki amaç doğrultusunda çalışmanın kapsamı, konu alanı tanımlanmaktadır. İkinci bölümde Edirne Kentinin potansiyelleri incelenmiştir. Öncelikle yöresel (coğrafi, tarihsel, ekonomik, eğitim-kültür, turizm ve bir sınır kenti olması bakımından), daha sonra ise sivil mimari potansiyelleri açısından ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde koruma, koruma çeşitleri ve sorunları incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde çalışma alanı içerisindeki tarihsel konutlara ait bilgiler tek tek tablolarda ele alınmış, bu tablolardan elde edilen sonuçlar anlatılmıştır. Beşinci bölümde tespit edilen sivil mimari mekansal potansiyelin nasıl değerlendirilebileceği, kullanım önerileri üzerinde durulmuştur. Altıncı bölümde tezin sonuçları saptanmıştır.
IV SUMMARY The topic of this thesis is to study planning and front characteristics of our sampled civil architectural houses which were not subjected to a detailed research up to now as our traditional building art products and in addition to be helpfull to make use of them by some proposals. In the first part, the contents and the range of the research are described through the mentioned purpose. In the second section, potentials of Edirne city has been studied. First, it was studied from the ponit of regional aspects (from the point of being a border-city and geographical, historical, economical, educational, cultural and tourism aspects) and them secontly from civil architectural potentials. In the third section, protection types of protection and its, related problems are examined. In the fourth section, information belonging to historical buildings within study area is treated one by one in the tables and the results, concluded from these tables, is explained. In the fifth section the emphasry is given on how the civil architectural residential potential will be assessed, as well as utility suprestions. In the sixth section the results of the thesis are determined. Key Words: Traditional Houses, Refunction.
