VI SUMMARY This research was carried out in Experimental Field of Agricultural High School of Halkalı -Istanbul in 1998. Mixed vetch and cereal seeds were sown manually in same and different rows. 4 kg/da nitrogen /da (Amonium nitrate) was applied during sowing time. In addition 6 kg/da nitrogen was spread first part on April. In this study was examined effect of two different nitrogen level and different vetch and cereal mixtures on forage yield, protein content and botanical composition. Pure and mixture plots were harvested individual and weighted The results of experiment were summerized as follow: 1- Maximum green fodder yield (2991.90kg/da)was found in vetch+wheat mixture, alternative sowing and fertizer applied plots. Minimum green fodder yield (2248.64kg/da) was found. 2- Maximum dry fodder yield (928.77 kg/da) was determined in vetch + wheat mixture sowing and without fertizer plots. Minimum dry fodder yield was determined in vetch+oat mixture,, alternative sowing and fertizer applied plots. 3 -Minimum percentage of protein was found (%17.14) in vetch+barley mixture, alternative sowing and fertizer applied plots. Maximum percentage of protein was (%23.49) found ) in vetch+wheat mixture, mixture sowing and fertizer applied plots. 4-Minimum yield of protein was determined (144.94 kg/da) in vetch+oat mixture, alternative sowing and fertizer applied plots. Maximum yield of protein (214.30 kg/da) was determined in vetch+wheat mixture, mixture sowing and fertizer applied plots. 5-Minimum rate of cereals (21.07%)in botanical composition was found in vetch+wheat mixture, mixture sowing and without fertilization plots. Maximum rate of cereals (50.84%)in botanical composition was found in vetch+barley mixture, alternative sowing and fertilizer applied plots. 6-Minimum rate of legumes (48.86%)in botanical composition was found in vetch+barley mixture, alternative sowing and fertilizer applied plots. Maximum rate of legumes (78.50%)in botanical composition was found in vetch+wheat mixture, mixture sowing and without fertilization plots.
