Abstract
Var olduğu dönemin ruhuyla şekillenen bu özelliğiyle bir sonuç olarak döneminin aynası niteliği de taşıyan Mimarlık Sanatı, bilinen ilk mimarlık ürününden beri kimi zaman sert, kimi zaman yumuşak geçişlerle bir dönemden diğerine ve nihayet günümüze evrilerek, izler bırakarak gelmiştir. Mimarlık Sanatı tarihsel süreklilik içinde sürekli dönüşüm, gelişim içerisindedir. Bu nedenle içinde bulunulan günü anlamak için geçmişi de özümsemek gereklidir. De Stijl Hareketinin çağdaş iç mekân tasarım yaklaşımlarına etkilerini ortaya koymayı amaçlayan bu çalışmada, XVIII. Yüzyıl başlangıç noktası olarak kabul edilerek günümüze kadar mimarlık alanında yaşanan gelişmeler kronolojik sırayla irdelenmiş, çağdaş iç mekân tasarımı anlayışlarında De Stijl hareketinin biçime ve öze yönelik etkileri araştırılmıştır. De Stijl Hareketi'nin tarihsel süreçte yerini sanayi devrimiyle değişen yeni dünya düzeninde aramak mümkündür. Sanayi devrimi yeni bir yaşam tarzı, yeni bir insan, yeni bir uygarlık, koşut olarak da yeni uygarlığın ihtiyaçlarını karşılayacak yeni mimarlık arayışları yaratmıştır. De Stijl bu çözüm arayışlarından biridir. De Stijl Hareketi kendi döneminde yarattığı devrim niteliğindeki ilkeleri, evrensel kriterleri ile günümüzde hala önemini korumakta olup, çağdaş iç mekân tasarım yaklaşımlarını etkilemeye devam etmektedir. Hareketin ana ilkelerinin izlerini çağdaş mimari eserlerde görebilmek mümkündür. Çalışmanın Birinci bölümü giriş bölümü olup, ikinci bölümünde De Stijl Hareketi'nin tarihsel süreçteki yeri XVIII. Yüzyıl başlangıç noktası olarak kabul edilerek kronolojik sırayla incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde, kökenleri, oluşumu, gelişim ve karakteri başlıkları altında De Stijl Hareketi irdelenmiştir. Çalışmanın dördüncü bölümünde, ise De Stijl Hareketinin Çağdaş İç Mekân Tasarımı Yaklaşımlarına Etkileri biçime yönelik ve öze yönelik alt başlıkları altında incelenmiştir. Beşinci bölüm sonuç bölümü olup, bulgular ve öneriler bu bölümde paylaşılmıştır.

The art of architecture which developes according to its own perid of time, as a result, is a mirror of its own period. Since the first known architectural piece of art, architecture transformes and evolves with tough or smooth transitions and always leaves its traces. In the continuous conversion of historical continuity, architecture is in a continious development process. Therefore, to understand the current day its necessary to understand the past. In this essay, which aims to deal with the effects of the De Stijl Movement to the contemporary interior design approaches, XVIII. th. Century considered as the starting point and architectural movements will be examined in a chronological order. Then the effects of the De Stijl Movement to the contemporary interior design approaches will be analyzed. In the historical process, Its possible to look for the origins of De Stijl Movement, in the Industrial revolution which changes the world, and creates a new lifestyle, a new man, a new civilization, as a result a new architectural solutions which trys to find new men's and new civilization's needs. De Stijl, as a art movement, is one of the architectural solutions of XX. Centrury. De Stijl Movement with its international principles which considered as revolutionary for its own period of time is still important today as an art movement and still continues to affects contemporary interior degsign approaches. Its possibble to see traces of the movement, on contemporary architecture approaches today. In the first part of the essay, aims and methods of the research will be mentioned then in the second part, the origins of De Stijl Movement in history will be analyzed. In the third part, De Stijl Movement will be analyzed in a detailed way. In the fourth part, on the basis of the principles of the movement, the effects of De Stijl on the contemporary interior design approaches will be discussed. The last part of the essay is conculusion in which the results of the research discussed.
