Öğe A COMPARISON OF MASS TOURISM AND ECOLOGIC TOURISM WITH REGARD TO CONCEPTUAL, ARCHITECTURAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS(Yildiz Technical Univ, Fac Architecture, 2007) Ovali, Pinar KisaIn those days that we have global-wide environmental problems, it is an obligation to transfer our resources to new generation in good condition. For this reason, the touristic action they realize and the comfort level they expect, types of tourism and types of an organization they are included in should be told to tourists. Only this way, individuals may lead to tourism types adaptable to their continuity rules. Therefore, in this study, by defining mass tourism and ecologic tourism concepts; the general features of both tourism types, their architecture based on those features, and their possible environmental impacts are presented comparatively in figures. This study, which enables individuals to evaluate their own touristic action, is expected to increase tourists' consciousness about environment and tourism.Öğe A new approach to concentric circles theory as urban growth model in concept of physical theories: force model within kinetic and potential urbanization(Gazi Univ, Fac Engineering Architecture, 2017) Ulas, Ali; Ovali, Pinar KisaThe study, aims to provide a new perspective on the phenomenon of urban growth, within concept of physical theories; a new urban growth model was created by analogy between Burgess, one of the first examples of urban growth models, Concentric Circles Theory and Newton's Laws of Motion to express the areal sprawling. The population expressed as a mass of homogeneously scattered cells. The cities selected in England, France and Germany for the year 1200 until 1914; has been investigated for urban sprawl movement by the force values obtained from Momentum Equations depending on the areal sprawl and population values. In this modeling technique, as specified Force Model , two original classification Kinetic and Potential Urbanization has been proposed for urban growth movement.
