Öğe Determination of Genetic Distances In Some Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Varieties and Lines(Univ Namik Kemal, 2005) Bilgin, O.; Korkut, K. Z.Five primers, out of ten primers in ten base length used in the research, giving good results were taken into consideration. The number of amplified bands of genotypes ranged from 2 to 11 in the primers. The most polymorphic bands were obtained from T5 primer. The lowest similarity (0.365) was found between Mv-17 and ME-2 (51), the highest similarity (0.946) was found between IBWSN-69 and Mv-17 combination in the bread wheat genotypes. Genotypes were categorised mainly into two groups based on the dendogram results. Six genotypes took part in the second group and 14 genotypes took part in the first group, and the average similarity between these two groups was 0.660. Sana and Flamura-80; Miryana and ISWYN-29; ME-2 (51) and IBWSN-58; Prostar and Pehlivan; IBWSN-69 and Mv-17; ISWYN-24 and Saraybosna genotypes were closely related while Kate A-I and IBWSN-62 were the most divergent.Öğe Determination of Some Phynological Traits and Grain Yield of Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Varieties and Lines(Univ Namik Kemal, 2005) Bilgin, O.; Korkut, K. Z.This research was conducted at experimentation area of Field Crops Department of Tekirdag Agricultural Faculty, Trakya University during the growing years of 1999 and 2000 with 20 bread wheat varieties and lines. Grain yields in genotypes under study changed between 388.17-655.83 kg/da. Sana and Mv-17 varieties gave the highest grain yield. ISWYN-14 and IBWSN-58 lines were determined as promising lines. Saraybosna and Sana produced the lowest plant height. The highest averages spike length were obtained from the genotypes of ISWYN-24, Bezostaja-1, IBWSN-42, Kate A-I, Miryana and ISWYN-29. The highest averages of the number of grains per spike were measured for the genotypes of IBWSN-62, Mv-17, Sana, Kate A-I, Prostar and IBWSN-42, respectively. When the genotypes were examined in terms of their grain weight per spike, Sana and Mv-17 resulted in the highest means. ISWYN-14, ME2HR (51), ISWYN-9, IBWSN-58, IBWSN-62 and ISWYN-24 came out as the earliest lines on based of number of dates to heading. Bezostaja-I, Mv-17, ISWYN-14 and Kate A-I showed the longest maturity period. In addition, significant and positive correlations between grain yield and grain weight per spike, and the number of days to heading were found while insignificant but positive correlations between the number of days to maturing and plant height, and the number of grains per spike were observed.Öğe Effects on Variations in M1 Generation of Durum Wheat (T. durum Thell) by Induced Mutagen(Univ Namik Kemal, 2005) Baser, I.; Korkut, K. Z.; Bilgin, O.In this research conducted in Department of Field Crops, Tekirdag Agricultural Faculty, Trakya University, the effect of six different gamma ray doses on plant growth in M-1 generations derived from two durum wheat cultivars was investigated. In the experiment, 10 plants in each pot (17 x 40 cm) containing 5 kg soil were grown with three replicates. Total 30 plants for each treatment were used. In M1 generation, number of leaves, number of roots, seedling height, seedling weight, leaf weight and germination rate were determined. Application of 100-200 gray gamma ray doses did not have any inhibitory effect on investigated characters in seedling growth of M1 generation. On the other hand, 400-500 gray doses significantly inhibited the plant growth. 100-200 gray doses did not affect the seed germination rate whereas germination rate decreased with 400-500 gray gamma ray applications. At 600 gray dose, only one seed remained viably, rest of them could not survive. It was generally observed the highest variations at 300-400 gray gamma doses in M1 plants.
