After cleaning organisms in laboratory, chironomid larvae species have been identified under microscope. In the island 24 species belonging to 3 subfamilies have been found. Among these, 17 species belong to Chironominae subfamily, 1 species belongs to Orthocladiinae subfamily and 6 species belong to Tanypodinae subfamily.
