Thirteen Chelonus species were identified, and five of them are new records for the Turkish fauna: Chelonus (Chelonus) bimaculatus Szepligeti, 1896; C. (C.) capsa Tobias, 1972; C. (C.) lissogaster Tobias, 1972; C. (C.) submuticus Wesmael, 1835 and C. (C.) wesmaelii Curtis, 1837.
