Each is well-known in their field. They are Ferdowsi, Nizâm al-Mulk, Sabbâh and Khayyam. Trying to examine Iran through their biographies can give an idea about the image of Iran in this period. On the other hand, the phenomena are lost in the depths of intense political history and more easily understood. Because again revival efforts of Iran's pre-Islamic tradition and Irans' desire to shelter Persian nationalism against the new conquerors Arabs and Turks, bring these personalities together on a common ground.
