The experiment was laid out in a two factor factorial in a randomized complete block design, with three replications. The mineral, dry matter and crude fiber contents were determined in Tekirdag (Turkey) during 2001-2002 in dry conditions. The dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber, P, Ca, K, Mg, Ca/P contents and K/P ratios were all affected by the different species and growth stages. The differences in Ca/K between growth stages and clover species were found to be non-significant. The interactions of these traits were not significant. The highest dry matter content was obtained from the hedgehog (11.73%) and Mediterranean (11.51%) clovers. Persian clover produced more crude fiber content (16.16%) than the other species. Differences in Ca, K and Mg for the growth stages were significant. The highest Ca/P (2.74) and K/P (3.37) ratios were found in lappa clover. The maximum Ca/P (2.86) and K/P (3.46) ratios were obtained from the first growth stage (pre-bud). The Ca/K ratio ranged from 0.82 to 0.83.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessCloverCrude FiberCrude ProteinDry MatterMineral ContentsNutritive values of some annual clovers (Trifolium sp.) at different growth stagesArticle4019398Q4WOS:0002393415000142-s2.0-33845246885N/A
