Bu bağlamda bu çalışma, Osmanlı Devleti’nin son döneminde faaliyete geçerek Balkan Savaşları ve Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda insanlara dil, din, ırk ayrımı yapmaksızın yardım elini uzatan Osmanlı Hilâl-i Ahmer Cemiyeti’nin kadın kolu olan Hilâl-i Ahmer Hanımlar Merkezi’nin faaliyetlerini konu almıştır.Since the earliest times in history, the status of women in Turkish society has shown a continuous change. In the Ottoman Empire, The role of women in social life has increased even more during the modernization process accelerated during the the Tanzimat Reforms and Second Constitutional Period.
