Dibromocarbene was formed from bromoform and potassium tert-butoxide in hexane. Its reaction with various cyclic alkenes was the resultant dibromobicyclo[ n.1.0]alkanes. Then, opening was performed using AgNO3 in various solvent systems, such as acetic acid/DMSO, acetic acid/DMF, CH3OH/acetone, and H2O/DMF. © TÜBİTAK.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessBicyclic Compound; Carbene; Ring Expansion; Ring Opening; Vinylic HalideSilver ion-assisted ring expansions in different solvent systemsArticle33173782-s2.0-61849152347Q389151
