Sanayi bölgelerine yakın 14 tarım arazisinden alınan toprak numuneleri, mikrodalga fırında ekstraksiyon yapılarak analize hazırlanmıştır. ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry) ile de ağır metal konsantrasyonları okunmuştur. Elde edilen sonuçların istatistiksel ve yapay sinir ağları ile değerlendirmeleri yapılmıştır. Ayrıca bu örneklerde toprak fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri analiz edilmiştir. Toprak örneklerinin fiziksel ve kimyasal analiz sonuçlarıyla konsantrasyonları belirlenen Cd, Pb ve Cr arasındaki korelasyonlar belirlenmiştir.
