Çalışma “Giriş”, “Sonuç” ve “Kaynaklar” dışında dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın “Giriş” bölümünde Türk edebiyatı içerisinde Ümit Kaftancıoğlu’nun yeri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. “Birinci Bölüm”de “Ümit Kaftancıoğlu’nun Hayatı”na değinilmiştir. “İkinci Bölüm”de “Ümit Kaftancıoğlu’nun Edebiyat Hayatı ve Eserleri” üzerinde durulmuştur. “Üçüncü Bölüm”de “Ümit Kaftancıoğlu’nun Hikâyeleri”, “Dördüncü Bölüm”de “Ümit Kaftancıoğlu’nun Romanları” incelenmiştir. “Sonuç” bölümünde çalışma boyunca elde edilen bulgular ortaya konulmuştur. “Kaynaklar” başlığında ise araştırmada esas alınan eserler ve çalışma boyunca yararlanılan kaynaklar gösterilmiştir.This study is based on analyzing one of the most important names of Turkish Literature Ümit KAFTANCIOĞLU, his life and his works. The study consist of four parts except ‘Introduction’, ‘Result’ and ‘Sources’. In the ‘Introduction’ part of the study, the importance of Ümit Kaftancıoğlu is mentioned. In the ‘First’part, his life is mentioned. In the ‘Second’ part, his literature vital and his works are mentioned. In the ‘Third’ part, his stories are mentioned. In the ‘Forth’ part, Ümit Kaftancıoğlu’s novels are mentioned and in the ‘Result’ part, the findings through the study are put forward.
