In this case report, we are presenting inadvertent extraction of a previously deployed stent occurring after repetitive balloon dilatations and manual thrombus aspiration to treat acute stent thrombosis. Operators must be careful dealing with in-stent lesions or passing through old stents. <Learning objective: Operators must be careful when dealing with patients with previously deployed stents. There is no easy case in interventional cardiology; complications like this can occur although the case was seemingly uneventful.> © 2016 Japanese College of Cardiologyen10.1016/j.jccase.2016.03.016info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEntrapment; Stent Extraction; Thrombus AspirationClopidogrel; Heparin; Adult; Article; Aspiration Catheter; Balloon Catheter; Balloon Dilatation; Bare Metal Stent; Blood Clot Lysis; Blood Clotting Time; Case Report; Catheterization; Coronary Angiography; Coronary Artery Circumflex Branch; Coronary Care Unit; Everolimus Eluting Coronary Stent; Fibrinolytic Therapy; Follow Up; Guide Wire; Heart Infarction; Hospital Admission; Human; In-Stent Restenosis; Inadvertent Extraction; Intervention Study; Intravascular Ultrasound; Laboratory Test; Male; Medical Device Complication; Middle Aged; Priority Journal; St Segment Elevation; Stent; Stent Extraction; Stent Thrombosis; Thorax Pain; Thrombus Aspiration; Traction TherapyInadvertent extraction of a previously deployed stentArticle14238392-s2.0-84963502525Q4
