Tür, Suaedoideae altfamilyası, Suaeda Forssk. ex J.F. Gmel. cinsi Salsina Moq. seksiyonu altında sınıflandırılmıştır. Türün kapsamlı betimi, Türkiye’deki dağılış haritası, habitat özellikleri, morfolojik karakterleri ve fotoğrafları verilmiştir.In this study, Suaeda aegyptiaca (Hasselquist) Zohary is reported as a new record for Turkish flora from Akçakale district in Şanlıurfa province. The species is classified under section Salsina Moq. of the genus Suaeda Forssk. ex J.F. Gmel. in Suaedoideae subfamily.
