In this respect, the specimens collected from 34 different localities by several researchers between October 1986 and May 1999 were analysed. As a result of morphological evaluations on the specimens, a total of 20 different species belonging to 5 families of Prosobranchia subclass and belonging to 4 families of Pulmonata subclass were recorded. These specimens in Prosobranchia are; Thedoxus fluviatilis (Linnaeus, 1758), Valvata naticina (Menke, 1845), Valvata piscinalis (Müller, 1774), Viviparus viviparus (Linnaeus, 1758), Viviparus contectus (Millet, 1813), Hydrobia verntrosa (Montagu, 1803), Bithynia tentaculata Shütt, 1964, Bithynia pseudemmericia Shütt, 1964 and in Pulmonata are; Lymnaea stagnalis (Linnaeus, 1758), Radix auricularia (Linnaeus, 1758), Radix labiata (Rössmässler, 1835), Radix ovata (Draparnaud, 1805), Radix peregra (Müller, 1774), Physa acuta (Draparnaud, 1805), Physa fontinalis (Linnaeus, 1758), Planorbis planorbis (Linnaeus, 1758), Planorbis carinatus Müller, 1774, Planorbis corneus (Linnaeus, 1758), Gyraulus albus (O.F. Müller, 1774), Ancylus fluviatilis Müller, 1774. Above all, the general distributions of the species which are known to occur in Turkey are given.
