Dermoid cysts of the head neck are uncommon and account for only 7% of all such cysts. They are most often reported as arising in the floor of the mouth. Dermoid cyst is rarely seen in the parotid gland. To our knowledge, there have been only six previous case reports in the English literature. Dermoid cyst of the parotid gland in pediatric patient has not been previously reported in the literature. This is the first case report concerning a dermoid cyst in a pediatric patient.
