This machine was evaluated in terms of of effectiveness of separation and classification, and power consumption. Prototype machine was manufactured and tested at Trakya University, Tekirdag Agricultural Faculty, Agricultural Machinery Department Laboratory. Trials of prototype machine were performed at optimum conditions that were obtained after primary trials. This conditions were 12 s(-1) vibration frequency and 8% slope of separation section. Power consumption of prototype machine increased with. an increase in fan adjusting degree of fan vane. Power consumption was determined as minimum kW 3.8 at closed position and maximum 7.16 kW at open position (10(th) adjusting degree). Maximum separation efficiency of prototype machine was estimated as 82% and maximum classification efficiency of prototype machine was estimated as 73%. Minimum separation efficiency of prototype machine was estimated as 54% and minimum classification efficiency of prototype machine was estimated as 62%.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessOnion SetsFluidized Bed MediumVentilatorSeparation UnitA research on determination of performance of machine prototype with fluidized bed medium for separation and classification of onion setsConference Object298306N/AWOS:000183079300046
