Özet
The negativities in basic parameters such as climate, biodiversity and natural resources, which are necessary for the quality of life and the continuity of the process, turn the sustainable relationship between human and ecosystem into an unsustainable situation. Sustainability, which is the ideal goal for every living system; can be explained as a quest that develops as a result of unsustainable relationship between human and ecosystem. Today, topics such as envorimantal, economic, social, cultural and technological sustainability come to the fore. However, this reductionist view puts sustainability in restrictive form. However, since the state of being sustainable should be measured with the possibility of livability, it requires the human- ecosystem relationship to be considered as a whole. Sustainability should be considered as non- restrictive, regulatory, integrative phenomenon that serves as a general frame. At this point, the laws that direct the physics universe can be explanatory in terms of presenting relational networks and establishing a holistic view. One of these laws is entropy; it expresses an infalliable state of decay to which all matter and energy in universe are subject. In the search for sustainability in the ecosystem, which is a set of intricate systems; entropy can play an integrating role. In this context, the study purpose is; by revealing the entropy- ecosystem relationship, to create a general frame for the negative entropic actions that convert an unsustainable system to a sustainable one. © 2023 Peter Lang GmbH, Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften.
