In this research, it is aimed to examine firstly how teachers' views on consumption and consumption society are, and then to examine the place of school in consumption culture and how it affects the formation of consumption culture from the perspective of Jean Baudrillard's consumption theory. In this research, it was designed on the basis of mixed method in which qualitative and quantitative research methods are used together. The qualitative part of the research was designed with the phenomenology model, and the quantitative part was designed with the general survey model. Study groups of the research; for the qualitative part, 9 teachers working in the central district of Edirne province determined by purposeful sampling; In the quantitative part, it consisted of 794 teachers determined by random sampling. Qualitative data obtained through semistructured interviews, one of the data collection tools developed by the researcher, were interpreted with descriptive analysis technique. Quantitative data were also collected with the help of the questionnaire form developed by the researcher. The quantitative data obtained at the end of the research were analyzed with the descriptive statistics method. In the findings obtained from the teachers' opinions, it has been understood that some of the life skills of the students are shaped in schools, they are oriented to consumption especially during socialization times, they are focused on showing their behaviors and emotions through consumption objects, and they affect each other quite a lot in this regard. When evaluated in terms of consumption, it has been concluded that schools are a small example of the consumer society. It is seen among the findings obtained in the research that the schools used as a social class jumping tool and the exams that are the means of this cause the schools and education to be consumed, and that the knowledge also turns into a consumption object due to the necessity of being successful in the exams for the students. As a general result of the research, it has been understood that schools are institutions that prepare new consumption-oriented individuals (consumers) that will ensure the continuation of the consumption society.
