dc.description.abstractIll ÖZET Bu çalışmada tarihi ve coğrafi konumuyla Türk tarihinde önemli bir yer teşkil eden Bilecik iline bağlı Söğüt ilçesinin etnik yapısı, kısa bir tarihçesi ve ağız özellikleri ele alınmıştır. Osmanlı İmparatorluğuna nüve teşkil eden Söğüt imparatorluğun ilk başkenti olması dolayısıyla da çok büyük bir önem arzeder. Bu nedenle bölgenin kültürel yapısı çok zengindir. Bu zenginlik bilhassa konuşma dilinde kendini gösterir. Bölge halkının Kayı boyunun torunları olması dolayısıyla Türkçe'nin belli başlı ses hususiyetleri çarpıcı bir şekilde görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla çalışmanın çıkış noktası bu zenginlik olmuştur. Çalışmamızda öncelikle ilçeye bağlı köyler taranarak konuşma metinleri elde edilmiş sonra bu metinlerdeki ses hususiyetleri ve gramer özellikleri incelenmiştir. Çalışmamızın sonunda ise metinlerde geçen bazı kelimelerin yöreye özgü kullanım şekillerini açıklamak için bir sözlük çalışması yapılmıştır. dc.description.abstractIV SUMMARY In this study, with its historical and geographical importance in the Turkish, one of the counties of Bilecik; Söğüt's ethnic structure, its brief history and its dialect features have been studies on. Because it formed the nucleus of the Ottoman Empire and had been its first capitol, Söğüt has a great importance. In this respect, the cultural structure of this area is very rich. This richness is especially seen in the colloquial language. Because of its being the descendants of the Kayi clan (tribe), certain phonological features of Turkish are seen impresively. On account of this the starting point of this study has been this richness. First of all in this study the villages of this county (Söğüt) were scanned, texts of conversation (speech) were compiled and then the phonological and grammatical features of these texts were examined. At the end of the study a dictionary study was carried out for the words in the texts in order to clarify the peculiar usage of some words in this region.
