Abstract
Bu araştırmada, Cumhuriyet sonrası Çağdaş Türk Müziği?nin yaygınlaşmasında katkısı olan Türk Bişlerinden sonraki kuşakta yer almış besteciler arasında sayılan Kemal Sünder? in hayatı anlatılmış, müzikal kimliği ve eserleri incelenmiştir. Bu araştımanın amacı; Türkiye ve hatta dünyada bile izine az rastlanır olan Kemal Sünder?in Timpani Konçertosu?nun incelenmesi ve vurmalı çalgı icracılarının repertuarlarına girmesini sağlamaktır. Araştırmanın ilk bölümünde, Cumhuriyet dönemiyle birlikte Çağdaş Türk Müziği?nin yaygınlaşması hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Türk Beşleri ve sonraki kuşak bestecilerden bahsedilmiş, Kemal Sünder?in yaşadığı dönem itibariyle hayatı, müzikal kişiliği ve eserleri anlatılmıştır. ikinci bölümde ise, Timpani?nin tarihsel süreçteki yeri ve günümüz müziğinde kullanımlarına örnek eser isimleriyle üzerinde durulmuş ve Kemal Sünder?in op.26 Timpani Konçertosu form-analiz ve icra yönünden incelenmiştir.
