Fibromyalgia is a form of extra-articular rheumatic disorder characterized by pain, fatigue, stiffness, sleep disturbance and tender points. In this study, 30 patients with fibromyalgia (27 females 3 males) were treated with Linear Polarized Polychromatic Light (Bioptron). Pain and tender point scores were assessed before and after treatment. Statistical analysis of pre and post-treatment scores showed that the therapeutic effect of Bioptron in fibromyalgia was significant. At the end, it was concluded that Bioptron is a convenient and effective physical therapy modality in the treatment of this disorder.en_US
