The main purpose of the study is to answer the question of “What are the main differences and similarities of Emissions Gap Reports from 2014 to 2022 in terms of cores that can contribute to building design?” The study covers the Emissions Gap Reports of the last 13 years. In addition to literature research, it deepens the process of comparing existing reports with the help of “data analysis”. It helps create a framework for how concepts are related and how efficient that year’s Emissions Gap Report is in terms of comprehensibility. In this way, it becomes possible to discuss the Emissions Gap Report series through a unique headline, by evaluating the forms of association offered by leading concepts. As a result, it has been observed that the emissions gap problem, which should be addressed through more sanctioned commitments on a global scale, is falling behind the targets for 2030 more significantly every year. Fragmentation of datasets through data analysis enables the group headers that trigger the global emission gap problem to be more specifically evaluated in their own data pools and allows to run advanced strategies specific to the building sector to solve the emission problem. © 2023, Scibulcom Ltd..
