Özet
Azerbaycan’da, turizm sektöründeki faaliyetler yıllar itibariyle gerileme göstermiştir. Bu gerilemede ülkenin içinde bulunduğu savaş büyük bir rol oynamaktadır. Ancak buna rağmen,son yıllarda turizm sektöründe bir hareketlilik yaşanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada genel olarak Azerbaycan turizminin geçmiş yıllardan bugüne kadar olan durumu incelenerek, turizmin geliştirilmesi konusunda yapılabilecekler üzerine fikirler verilmiştir. Çalışma, özellikle son yıllarda turizmde daha çok ilgi çekmeye başlayan Azerbaycan’ın Kuzeybatı bölgesinde bulunan Şeki şehrinin turizm potansiyelini ortaya koymakla birlikte, turizmin gelişim göstermesiyle beraber yerel halkın turistlere ve turizme karşı bakış açısının belirlenmesini ve yerel halkın bireysel özelikleri ile turizmin ekonomik, sosyal, kültürel ve çevresel faktörleri arasındaki farklılıkların belirlenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde turizmin etkileri ve yerel halk ile turizm ilişkisi kavramları ele alınmaktadır. İkinci bölümde Azerbaycan ve Kuzeybatı bölgesinin (Şeki şehri) turizm arz olanaklarıyla ilgili bilgi verilmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde Şeki şehrinde yerel halkın turizme bakış açısı incelenmiştir. Çalışma bulgularından elde edilen sonuçlarda ilgili analizlere bakıldığında, turizmin sosyal, kültürel ve çevresel etkileri ile yerel halkın bireysel özellikleri arasında farklılık olduğu ve genel olarak, Şeki şehrinde yerel halkın turizme bakış açısının “olumlu” olduğu tespit edilmiştir
In Azerbaijan, activities in the tourism sector have declined over the years. The war in the country plays a big role in this setback. However, in recent years, there has been some activity in the tourism sector. In this study, the situation of Azerbaijan tourism from the past to the present has been examined and ideas are given on what can be done for the development of tourism. The study reveals the tourism potential of the city of Sheki, which is located in the northwestern region of Azerbaijan, which has started to attract more attention in tourism in recent years, as well as the development of tourism, determining the perspective of local people towards tourists and tourism, and the individual characteristics of the local people and the economic, social, cultural It aims to identify the differences between environmental factors. The research consists of three parts. In the first part, the effects of tourism and the relationship between local people and tourism are discussed. In the second part, information is given about the tourism supply opportunities of Azerbaijan and the Northwest region (city of Sheki). In the third part, the perspective of local people towards tourism in Sheki city was examined. Considering the relevant analyzes in the results obtained from the study findings, there is a difference between the social, cultural and environmental effects of tourism and the individual characteristics of the local people. In general, it has been determined that the local people's view of tourism in the city of Sheki is "positive".
