Özet
There are four symbol names in the medieval Iran. Each is well-known in their field. They are Ferdowsi, Nizâm al-Mulk, Sabbâh and Khayyam. Trying to examine Iran through their biographies can give an idea about the image of Iran in this period. On the other hand, the phenomena are lost in the depths of intense political history and more easily understood. Because again revival efforts of Iran's pre-Islamic tradition and Irans' desire to shelter Persian nationalism against the new conquerors Arabs and Turks, bring these personalities together on a common ground. This article aims to reach some conclusions by means of their biographies by tracing the common characteristics that make which makes Firdevsî, Nizâmü'l-Mülk, Hasan Sabbâh and Ömer Hayyam national values of Iran.
