Özet

Turkey and Bulgaria are two neighboring states. However, these two states, except for short periods in history for the sake of good relations could not develop to the present relationship of the border. After winning the independence of Bulgaria, the Turkish-Bulgarian relations, ethnic, cultural and political factors has been negative, depending on the general. However, sometimes friends and allies have been able to. Two examples of the clearest in terms of enmity and friendship, the policies of Balkan and First World Wars. Two states, Turkey and Bulgaria participated in the First World War as an ally. However, the war ended with victory of the Entente Powers and after the First World War the relations between Turkey and Bulgaria were cut at the request of the Entente Powers. The time of the Ankara government, Mustafa Kemal Pasha has traditionally worked to re-establish of bilateral relations. However, during this period due to the attitude of abstention in Bulgaria, bilateral relations have been established. However, good neighborly relations between the two states, started again after the Treaty of Lausanne, with the Treaty of Friendship in 1925 signed. With this treaty, political and commercial relations between the two states started and developed. In this study, the establishment of relations between the two states Friendship Treaty has been emphasizing the importance of, and it is intended to shed light on the present as well. In the past, on the basis of how the friendship between the two states unsolved problems existing in the today can be solved through bilateral negotiations.
