dc.description.abstractKooperatif; ortak ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel ihtiyaçlar ve istekleri müşterek sahip olunan ve demokratik olarak kontrol edilen bir işletme yoluyla karşılamak üzere gönüllü olarak bir araya gelen insanların oluşturduğu özerk bir teşkilattır. Kooperatifleşme hareketi, bütün milletler tarafından benimsendiği gibi gelişmekte olan Türkiye'de de önemle üzerinde durulan bir mesele olmuştur. Kooperatifler, bireyleri toplum karşısında yalnız bırakmadan onların meselelerini çözmelerinde çok etkili bir kurum olmakla kalmamış, toplum kalkınmasında bir araç olarak düşünülmüştür. Kalkınma açısından bakıldığında; üretim ekonomisi, sermaye birikimi ve sermayenin tabana yayılması, gelir dağılımı ve istihdam, yerleşim düzeni ve çevre koruma gibi konularda kooperatiflerin katkısı önemlidir. World Co-operative Monitor (Dünya Kooperatif İzlencesi) 2020 yılı raporuna göre (2018 yılı verileri referansı); Dünya çapında en büyük 300 kooperatif, 2,146 milyar ABD Doları gelir yaratmaktadır. Kooperatifler, bu çalışmada üçüncü bir sektör olarak ele alınmış, kooperatiflerin sürdürülebilir bir kalkınma açısından gerekliliğine ve önemine değinilmiştir. Dünya'daki ve Türkiye'deki örnek kooperatif uygulamalarından da esinlenilerek Trakya Bölgesi'nde mevcut kooperatiflerin genel durumu ve Trakya Bölgesi için sürdürülebilir kalkınmaya katkı sağlayabilecek tarım veya tarım dışı alternatif kooperatif çalışmaları ele alınmıştır. dc.description.abstractCooperative is an autonomous organization of people who voluntarily come together through a democratically controlled business to meet common economic, social and cultural needs and demands. The cooperative movement has been an issue that has been emphasized by all nations, as well as in developing Turkey. Cooperatives are not only a very effective institution in solving their problems without leaving individuals confronted with the society, but are also considered as a tool in community development. In terms of development; The contribution of cooperatives is important in areas such as production economy, capital accumulation and spreading of capital, income distribution and employment, settlement order and environmental protection. According to the 2020 report of the World Co-operative Monitor (2018 data reference); The largest 300 cooperatives worldwide generate $ 2.146 billion in revenue. Cooperatives are considered as a third sector in this study, and the necessity and importance of cooperatives for a sustainable development is emphasized.Inspired by exemplary cooperative practices in the world and in Turkey, the general situation of existing cooperatives in the Thrace Region and agricultural or non-agricultural alternative cooperative studies that can contribute to sustainable development for the Thrace Region are discussed.
