Özet

Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate intraoperative nursing care by patients and to determine the effects of patient factors in quality of care. Materials and methods: The Descriptive-Type Study was carried out with a total of 530 patients who underwent operation in The Kasımpaşa Military Hospital between June and December. The data was collected by using “Good Perioperative Nursing Care Scale” and patient identification forms. Percentage, Number, Mann-Whitney U (separate non-parametric t-tests), Kruskal-Wallis (non-parametric one-way analysis of variance) tests were used to analyze the data. Results: “Good Perioperative Nursing Care Scale” mean scores of patients was ranged 124.79 ± 25.96. It was found statistically significant that patients who are; male (%81.7), single (%56), having social security system, hospitalized before (%31,7), having planned operation (%96.4), arrive early in the morning of operation (%69.8), gave more positive assessments (p<0.001). Conclusion: As a result; patients were satisfied with intraoperative care in reference to positive responds and quality of care was affected positively by features such as gender, marital status, social security, hospital experience, arriving early in the morning to the operating room and planned operation. Reccomendations: It is strongly suggested that it should be planned and made further studies which scrutinize/research “Intraoperative Nursing Care” with much larger sample groups and the results should be also shared with members of medical professions to increase nurses awareness on that matter. © GATA.
