dc.description.abstractKobaylarda lokal %4 lük Alkol borik uygulanımının olası ototoksik etkilerini araştırdığımız çalışmamızda, normal işitme tespit edilen 30 adet kobay randomize olarak 3 gruba ayrılmıştır. Grup 1 alkol borik, Grup 2 gentamisin, Grup 3 serum fizyolojik uygulanan gruplardır. İlaç uygulaması intratimpanik enjeksiyonlar şeklinde 5 kez yapılmıştır. İlk enjeksiyondan önce ve son enjeksiyondan sonra ölçülen işitsel beyinsapı yanıtları ve distorsiyon ürünü otoakustik emisyon değerleri gruplar içinde ve gruplar arasında istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Ölçümlerden sonra histopatolojik olarak kokleadaki tüylü hücre hasarı ve koklea dejenerasyonu istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmamızda kobaylarda lokal olarak uygulanan %4' lük alkol borik'in gentamisine benzer düzeyde ototoksik etkileri gözlenmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractGuinea pigs with normal hearing were divided into three randomized groups in the present study which investigated the potential ototoxic effects of local application of 4% alcohol boric. Alcohol boric was applied to Group 1, gentamicin to Group 2 and saline to Group 3. Drug application was performed five times through intratympanic injections. The auditory brainstem response threshold values and distortion product otoacoustic emission signal noise ratios measured before the first injection and after the last injection were compared within the groups and among the groups. After the measurements hairy cell damage and cochlear degeneration in the cochlea were compared statistically. In our study, 4% alcohol boric applied locally in guinea pigs showed ototoxic effects similar to gentamicin.en_US
