Abstract
Dmitri Shostakovich, 20. Yüzyılda dünya tarihinin önemli bir bölümünü oluşturan Sovyetler Birliğinde yaşamış dönemin en büyük bestecilerinden biridir. Eserlerihem romantik hem de 20. yüzyıl müzik çağının özelliklerini örneklendirmekte ve tondan atonal müziğe kademeli olarak ilerlemesini göstermektedir. Bu araştırmanın ilk Bölümünde Sovyetler Birliğinde 20. Yüzyıl Müziği, Dmitri Shostakovich’ in hayatı, yaratıcılığı ve müzikal karakteri anlatılmıştır. İkinci Bölümde Sosyalist Realizim ve Kültür Politikası anlatılmıştır. Üçüncü Bölümde tezin konusunu oluşturan Dmitriy Shostakovich’in Op.40 Viyolonsel Sonatı’nın teknik ve müzikal açıdan incelenmesi yapılmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde ise Shostakovich’ in Op.40 Viyolonsel Sonatı’ nın seslendirilmesinde karşılaşılacak teknik problemlerin giderilmesine yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Bu araştırma Viyolonsel repertuarının en önemli eserlerinden biri olan, Viyolonsel Sonatı’nı icra etmek isteyen müzisyenlere yardımcı olacağı ve bu konularda araştırma yapanlar için kaynak oluşturacağı, müzik dilini ve sonatın virtüözitesini daha iyi anlamalarını, eserlerini daha iyi icra edebilmelerini amaçlamıştır.
Dmitri Shostakovich is one of the greatest composers of the era that lived in the Soviet Union, which was an important part of world history in the 20th century. His works exemplify the characteristics of both the romantic and the 20th century music age and show his gradual progression from tone to atonal music. In the first part of this research, the life, creativity and musical character of the 20th Century Music in the Soviet Union, Dmitri Shostakovich are described. In the second chapter, Socialist Realism and Cultural Policy are explained. In the third chapter, the technical and musical analysis of Dmitriy Shostakovich's Op.40 Cello Sonata, which is the subject of the thesis, was made. In the fourth chapter, suggestions were made to eliminate the technical problems encountered in the performance of Shostakovich's Op.40 Cello Sonata. This research aims to help the musicians who want to perform the Cello Sonata, which is one of the most important works of the Cello repertoire, and to create a source for the researchers on this subject, to better understand the language of music and the virtuosity.
