Özet
"14 Kuşağı" ressamları içinde anılan ve Türk Resim Sanatının önde gelen sanatçılarından biri olan, empresyonist ressam Nazmi Ziya Güran'ın hayatı, sanat anlayışı ve seçilmiş eserlerini içinde bulunduğu çağın, sanatçı üzerindeki etkileri ele alınmaktadır. Nazmi Ziya Güran sanat hayatı boyunca çeşitli devrimlere şahitlik etmiştir ve resim eğitimi boyunca hocalarından aldığı öğretilerle de bu zenginliği eserlerine yansıtmak istemiştir. Sanatçının resimlerindeki en belirleyici unsur olan "doğa ve gün ışığını" eserlerinin tamamında ustalıkla yansıtmıştır. Nazmi Ziya Güran, bilhassa resim eğitimi için Avrupa'ya gittiği dönemde ve sonrasında kendine özgü bir resim üslubu geliştirmiştir. Nazmi Ziya Güran eserlerinde insanı ve mekanı salt bir güzellikle değil kendi ruhundan ve gün ışığının süzgecinden geçirerek resmetmiştir.
Impressionist painter Nazmi Ziya Güran, who is one of the leading artists of the Turkish Painting Art and who is mentioned among the "14 Generation" painters, deals with the life, understanding of art and the effects of the selected works on the artist of the age in which he lives. Nazmi Ziya Güran has witnessed various revolutions throughout his art life and he wanted to reflect this richness which he received from his teachers, into his works during his painting education. He skillfully reflected "nature and daylight" which is the most decisive element in the artist's paintings, into all of his works. Nazmi Ziya Güran developed his own unique painting style, especially during and after he went to Europe for painting education. Nazmi Ziya Güran portrayed people and places in his works not only with beauty, but through his own spirit and filtering the sunlight.
