Özet

The article presents the master course of German teacher training at the University of Trakya in the context of language learning advice. There are three main concepts presented in the article: The first concept includes seminar research techniques and the second concept outlines production process of the master's thesis. The third one is dedicated to master students with publication needs. The language learning consultant in classroom environment, the supervisor of the master's thesis and the language learning consultant for academic writing are discussed with regards to the understanding of these roles. The study is based on three data sets: the first is a questionnaire conducted in the context of self-directed learning. The second file consists of protocols which were prepared by the person seeking advice as well as the consultant, depending on the supervision of the master's thesis. The third file is based on retrospective evaluation sheets of the master's degree students, who have completed the entire language learning consultation by publishing. The documents collected from 2005 to 2017 are evaluated from the researchers' point of view, who worked intensively in all three stages. The evaluation resulted in a tendency for those seeking advice to develop interdisciplinary competences in the area of language learning counseling in the master's degree program.
