The aim of our study was to determine the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of residents in Trakya University Faculty of Medicine about endogenous hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia and the factors affecting them and to raise awareness about the subject. Our study was conducted between July 4, 2022 and August 5, 2022 using the face-to-face interview technique with 240 residents working at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine who agreed to participate in the study. In this cross-sectional study, data were collected by applying a questionnaire prepared by the researchers, consisting of questions about sociodemographic informations of the participants and questions aiming to determine their knowledge, attitudes and behaviors about endogenous hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia. It was found that 177 (73,7%) of the participants were medical science residents, 63 (26,3%) were surgical science residents and 83 (34,6%) participants were in the first year of their education. The average number of correct answers given to the 25 questions regarding to knowledge about hypoglycemia was 11.57±3.70 and the average number of correct answers given to the 10 suggestions regarding to treatment suggestions about hypoglycemia was 4.43±1.74. 52% of the participants did not update their knowledge about hypoglycemia after graduation. 6.3% of the participants had previously been involved in the management of patients diagnosed with endogenous hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia. In our study, a statistically significant relationship was found between the number of correct answers given to the questions about knowledge and the branches, sources of information, frequency of renewal of information, and previous encounters with hypoglycemic patients. In addition, a statistically significant moderate correlation was found between the rate of correct responses to information questions and the number of correct responses to suggestion questions. Also, a significant difference was observed between the answers given to the approach questions by residents working in medical and surgical sciences. Some related factors affecting physicians' knowledge of endogenous hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia were identified. Increasing the importance given to endogenous hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia in medical faculty and postgraduate specialty education will help to overcome the deficiencies in this subject. Keywords: Hypoglycemia, Health knowledge, Attitudes, Practice, Medical education
