Özet
Mekân kavramı geçmişten günümüze özellikle mimari disiplinin temel kavramlarından biri olmanın yanında, fizik, felsefe, sosyoloji ve sanat tarihi içerisinde sürekli olarak üzerine düşünülüp tartışılan bir kavram niteliğini taşımaktadır. Özellikle sanat alanında estetik bir sorunsallık taşıyan mekân kavramı tarih boyunca sanatsal disiplinlerde önemi giderek artan bir konu olmakla kalmamış aynı zamanda sanatçının eser üretiminde yeni bir anlatım dili olmuştur. Sanat tarihi içerisinde mekân kavramı kimi zaman odak noktası olmuş, kimi zaman ise döneminin referansları dışında kullanılmıştır. 21.yüzyılda ise Land art (Arazi Sanatı) Kavramsal Sanat, Enstalasyon (Yerleştirme) gibi sanat anlayışlarıyla birlikte sanat nesnesine dönüşmüştür. Bu çalışmada mekân kavramı ve mekânın sanat nesnesiyle ilişkisi ortaya koyan sanat eserlerinin, bu eserler üzerine ortaya konan görüşler ve tartışmalar ışığında ele alınarak yorumlanması amaçlanmaktadır. Özellikle plastik sanatlarda 1960’lı yıllarda ortaya çıkan ve eş zamanlı olarak gerçekleşen farklı sanat hareketleri üzerinden günümüze dek süren eser-mekân ilişkisi sanat nesnesinin mekânla oluşturduğu bütünlük ve mekânın sanat yapıtı üzerindeki etkisi üzerine ağırlık verilmiştir. Yapıt mekân ilişkisi 20. yy ile birlikte sorgulanmaya başlanmış, sanat eserinin izleyicisiyle bütünleşmesini sağlamıştır. Bu çerçeveden bakıldığında geleneksel izleyici anlayışı, günümüzde yerini sorgulayan, deneyimleyen, mekân ve sanat nesnesinin bir parçası haline gelen izleyici profilini ortaya çıkarmıştır.
In addition to being one of the basic concepts of architectural discipline from past to present, the concept of space is a concept that is constantly considered and discussed in physics, philosophy, sociology and art history. The concept of space, which has an aesthetic problem, especially in the field of art, has been an increasingly important subject in artistic disciplines throughout history, but has also become a new language of expression in the artist's work. The concept of space has sometimes been the focal point in art history, sometimes it has been used outside the references of its period. In the 21st century, Land art turned into an object of art with its understanding of art such as Conceptual Art, Installation (Placement). In this study, it is aimed to interpret the concept of space and the works of art that reveal the relationship between space and the object of art, in the light of the opinions and discussions on these works. Especially in plastic arts, the work-space relationship that continues up to the present through different art movements that emerged in the 1960s and simultaneously will focus on the integrity of the art object and the effect of space on the artwork. The relation between the work and space started to be questioned with the 20th century, and enabled the integration of the work of art with the audience. When viewed from this perspective, the traditional view of the viewer has revealed the profile of the viewer, who questions and experiences his place, and has become a part of the object of space and art.
