| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmada özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin özel gereksinimli bireylerdeki duyu bütünleme problemlerine ilişkin farkındalığını incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma “Kesitsel” nitelikte oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmanın örneklemini özel eğitim hizmeti veren kurumlarda çalışan 153 özel eğitim öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından Google Forms uygulaması üzerinden hazırlanan 25 soruluk online bir soru formu kullanılmıştır. Özel eğitim öğretmenlerine kurumlar ve sosyal medya kanallarıyla ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda cinsiyet, yaş, mesleki deneyim, çalışılan bölge, çalışılan kurum, özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin çalıştıkları kurumda duyu bütünleme terapisi yapan bir ergoterapist ya da konu ile ilgili sertifikası olan bir fizyoterapistin çalışması değişkenleri ile duyu bütünleme problemlerine ilişkin farkındalık düzeyi arasında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı saptanmıştır (p>0,05). Özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin duyu bütünleme problemlerine ilişkin farkındalık düzeylerinin daha önce duyu bütünleme bozuklukları ile ilgili bir eğitim almaları durumuna göre ise anlamlı bir fark oluşturduğu saptanmıştır (p<0,01). Araştırma bulgularının özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin mesleki gelişim ihtiyaçlarına ve lisans düzeyindeki öğretmenlik programlarına yönelik önerilerde bulunmak, özel gereksinimli bireyler için daha etkili planlar ve programlar hazırlanmak amacıyla kullanılabileceği düşünülmektedir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to investigate special education teachers' awareness of sensory integration problems in individuals with special needs. "Cross-sectional design" has been used in this study. The sample of the study consists of 153 special education teachers working in institutions that provided special education services. As a data collection tool, the researcher uses an online questionnaire with 25 questions created using the Google Forms application. Institutions and social media channels are used to contact special education teachers. As a result of the study, there is no significant difference between the level of awareness about sensory integration therapy and the variables of gender, age, professional experience, the region of work, having an occupational therapist, or a physiotherapist with a sensory integration certificate in the institution where the special education teacher works (p>0.05). In light of the study's data, it has been discovered that special education teachers' levels of awareness about sensory integration problems differed significantly from whether they had previously received sensory integration training (p<0.01). The research findings are expected to be used to make recommendations for special education teachers' professional development needs and teaching programs at the undergraduate level, as well as to prepare more effective plans and programs for individuals with special needs. | en_US |
