| dc.description.abstract | Paisii Hilendarski, Bulgar Aydınlanma Dönemi’ni başlatmış ve Bulgarların milli kimlik ve şuurlarını canlandırmada çok önemli bir rol oynamıştır. Yazar; soylu, ruhban ve eşraf kesimlerinin yanı sıra tüm Bulgar soyuna hitaben yazarak sonrasında geniş kitlelere yayılan “Slav-Bulgar Tarihi” eserini 1762 yılında tamamlamıştır. Paisii Hilendarski, el yazması ile Bulgarların XVIII. Yüzyılda üstesinden gelmesi gereken belli başlı konular üzerinde durmuş bunu da eski Bulgarcadan yeni Bulgarcaya geçişte popüler bir dilde yapmıştır. Derin tarihleri ile Bulgar soyunun ulus olma bilincini güçlendirmek, ana dili ile kültürlerini koruyabilmek ve Fener Rum Patrikhanesi dini egemenliği ile Osmanlı siyasal egemenliğini ortadan kaldırmak için çalışmıştır. Eseri için hem yaşadığı Aynaroz manastır bölgesi hem de dış dünya da gezdiği yerlerden topladığı kaynaklar bulmuştur. XVIII. Yüzyılda manastırlar, özellikle Paisii’nin yaşadığı Aynaroz bölgesi aktif bir şekilde halk ile bağlantı kurmuş ve bu doğrultuda mali sıkıntı yaşayan manastırlara yardım toplamak aynı zamanda hacı ya da keşiş çekebilmek için köy ve kasabaları gezmeye başlamışlardır. Bir yandan, Paisii manastıra yardım toplamak ve insanları çekebilmek için dolaşırken halkla yakın temas olanağı bulmuş ve Bulgar halkının toplumsal durumunu en iyi bu şekilde gözlediği düşünülmektedir. Öte yandan, Paisii’nin bir Sırp manastırı olan Hilendar’daki münzevi yaşam diliminde onu ötekileştiren, kendi milleti olan Bulgarlara karşı hakaret edici söz ve imalara tanık olarak onda erken bir Bulgar milliyetçiliği olarak görünen karşı bir tavrın gelişmesine neden olduğu düşünülmektedir. Tüm bunların sonucunda Paisii, Bulgar soyunun geçmişinin bilinmesinin faydalı ve yararlı olacağını düşündüğünden “Slav-Bulgar Tarihi” eserini yazmıştır. Bulgar kimliğini hatırlatmış, geniş kitlelere yaymış, böylece Bulgar milliyetçiliğinin tohumlarını atmıştır. | dc.description.abstract | Paisii Hilendarski was the first person to build the Bulgarian National Organization and the construction of Bulgarian national identity. The author, in 1762, completed his “Slavic-Bulgarian History” study, which spread widely after writing to entire Bulgarians including all different social and populational groups or classes of the nation as well as the nobles, clergymen, artisans, and merchants. In his manuscript, Paisii Hilendarski focused on the central issues that the Bulgarians would have had to overcome over the 18th century, which he wrote in the ancient church Slavic. He has worked on strengthening the Bulgarian’s consciousness of being a nation with their mother tongue, sustaining their cultures with their profound history, in order to liberate the Bulgarians from the political sovereignty of Ottoman State and to emancipate from the religious dominion of the Phanar Greek Orthodox Patriarchate. For his work, he had found and gathered some collective resources together from both the Region of Agion Oros Monastery, where he eremitic cloistered, and the outside World, when he was strolling in his being gyrovague period. In the 18th century, Orthodox monasteries actively connected with the people, especially in the region of Agion Oros where Paisii lived, and the monks of the monasteries started to visit villages and towns in order to gather more benefits for the monasteries, where had financial difficulties, and to attract pilgrims or monks to the monasteries. On the one hand, Paisii had close contact with the locals as he strolled to gather benefits and people; he observed the social situations of the Bulgarian people in the best, it thought. On the other hand, the fact that on his coenobitic hermit life, Paisii witnessed insulting attitudes and implications against the Bulgarians, his nation, which marginalized him in the Serbian monastery Hilendar, is believed to have led to the development of a counter-attitude that appears to be a Bulgarian nationalistic motivation on his mind. Consequently, the reason that he thought it would have been useful and utile to know the root of Bulgarians past, therefore he had written “Slavic- Bulgarian History.” He established the Bulgarian national identity and spread it to widely large masses; thus, he formed opinions on Bulgarian nationalism. In this study, by utilizing the existence of items such as language, religion, and culture; the intellectual background of the construction of national identity are examined through the text written by Paisii. | en_US |
