| dc.description.abstract | Uzun yıllar süren savaşlar boyunca Rus, Bulgar ve Yunan işgallerine uğrayan Edirne kenti işgallerin etkilerini Türkiye Cumhuriyeti kurulduktan sonra da taşımaktaydı. İşgal dönemlerinde halk göç etmiş, kalanlar açlık ve sefalet içinde kalmış ve salgın hastalıklar baş göstermiştir. Edirne’nin kalkındırılması için halkın sağlığının korunması ve nüfusunun arttırılması gerekmekteydi. Çalışmalar işte bu yönde yapılmaya başlandı. Trakya Bölgesinin uzun zamandan beri süregelen en büyük sağlık problemi olan sıtmaya karşı 1936 yılında mücadele teşkilatı kuruldu ve uzun yıllar sıtma ile mücadele edildi. Halk anne çocuk sağlığı konusunda ve hastalıklara karşı bilinçlendirildi. Gerek basın, gerek konferans, gerekse sinema yoluyla sağlık konusunda vatandaşların aydınlatılması sağlandı. Sağlıklı nesiller yetişmesi için yardıma muhtaç yoksul ve kimsesiz çocuklara yardımlar edildi, yaz tatillerinde sağlıklarına kavuşmaları sağlandı. Cumhuriyet’in ilk yıllarında yapılan çalışmalar daha sonraki zamanlarda etkisini gösterdi ve halk sağlık alanında tıp-hekim-ilaç hakkındaki eski düşüncelerinden vazgeçerek bu alanda etkin katılım gösterdi. Bu çalışmada 1923-1960 yılları arasında Edirne’de sağlık alanında yapılan faaliyetlerden, Trakya Umumi Müfettişliğinin halk sağlığı ve eğitimi açısından yaptıklarından ve kentteki yardıma muhtaç, fakir kimselere edilen desteklerden bahsedilmiştir. Bu yıllar içerisinde gelen göçmenler ve onların ilk uğrak yeri Edirne’de gördükleri sağlık ve sosyal yardımlar ele alınmıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The effects of the occupations in the city of Edirne, which was occupied by the Russians, Bulgarians and Greeks due to the wars that lasted for many years, continued after the establishment of the Republic of Turkey. During the occupation period, people had to migrate, and those who stayed in the city were left in hunger and misery, and epidemics emerged. Fort he development of Edirne, it was necessary to protect the health of the people and increase its population. That was how the work related to them started. The organization of struggle was established in 1936 against malaria, which is the biggest health problem in the Thrace Region for many years. The people were informed about mother-child health and against diseases. Citizens were informed about health through media, conferences, and movies. In order to raise healthy generations, children in nedd, the poor, and the homeless were helped and they regained their health during the summer holidays. The studies carried out in the first years of the Republic showed their effects in the following years and gave up their thoughts about medicine-physician-drug in the field of health and actively participated in this field. In this study, the activities carried out for health in Edirne between 19231960, the activities of the Trakya Umumi Müfettişliği for public health and education, and the support given to the poor and needy people in the city were mentioned.
