Without a dear diagnosis, patients with aortic dissection often die before presentation to the hospital. Keeping a high clinical index of suspicion is mandatory for the accurate and rapid diagnosis of aortic dissection. The choice of the diagnostic modality mainly depends on the availability of the diagnostic tools and the experience of the physicians at the given institution.en_US
