Özet
Tarih sahnesinden çekilmek üzere olan yaşlı imparatorlukta dünyaya gelip genç cumhuriyette öğretmenlik, milletvekilliği yapmış, birbirinden önemli romanlar, denemeler, senaryolar, şehir yazarcılığı, çeviriler ve edebiyat eleştirilerinde bulunan Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’ın hayatını, tarih ve kimliğe dair görüşlerini inceleyeceğimiz bu çalışmada kendi eserleri esas alınmıştır. Özellikle günlük, mektup ve denemelerinin merkez alınacağı bu çalışmada öğrencilerinin ders notları, gazete tefrikaları, mülakatları, konuşmaları ve hakkında yazılan eserlere incelenmiştir. Tanpınar’ın tarih ve kimlik görüşlerini açıklamak için ele alınan bu çalışmada konunun derinleşebilmesi ve farklı bakış açısı kazanabilmesi adına Türkçe’nin yanı sıra Makedonca, Bulgarca ve Boşnakça kaynaklar kullanılmıştır.
In this study, we will examine the life, views on history, and identity of Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, who was born in an elderly empire that was ready to step off history's stage and subsequently served as a teacher and a member of parliament in the fledgling republic. The focus of this work is primarily on his own works, which include significant novels, essays, screenplays, urban writing, translations, and literary criticism. In this research, with a major focus on his journals, letters, and essays, additionally, his students’ lecture notes, serialized newspapers, interviews, speeches, and monuments about him will have been scrutinized. To supplement the Turkish materials used in the study, which attempts to clarify Tanpınar's opinions on history and identity, sources from Macedonia, Bulgaria and Bosnia were also used to go deeper into the issue and obtain new insights.
